At the end of normal time I turned the telly off, put my shoes on and went out to buy some booze. The streets were unsurprisingly pretty quiet. I kind of expected to hear some cheers or groans but didn’t. I suspect Kane had already scored before I got out of the house. A nice sign of English arrogance in Tesco though: a guy pushed past me in the queue while I was waiting to have the security tags taken off my wine, paid for his cheap bottle of celebratory fizz (with at least twenty minutes of extra time left) at the self checkout then presumptuously just handed his bottle to the checkout guy while he was serving the person in front of me to get his tag removed then strutted out back to his flat across the high street to toast England’s champions in waiting.
Prick.
Yeah think especially the first half is the worst we’ve ever been in a tournament under Southgate. Like the groups were incredibly dull and shit going forward but at least we looked mostly solid at the back. Last night was a shambles, were very lucky to be one down at half time
