I read a book, did a workout, had a shower, had some stuff arrive (waistcoat, album, running belt), had some news which I think is good but made me feel a bit funny anyway, went on a long walk with my housemate, chatted to a friend on the doorstep and watched Snow White. So a good day?

But now I feel really sad and can’t sleep. I miss my parents loads and I want to cuddle and smell the gerbils (they smell like home and it’s hyper calming) and I want a cuddle with a consenting man.

I’m definitely getting sadder about it the closer it gets to my birthday. By then it will be the longest I’ve ever gone without seeing my parents (they would visit me at uni in the first term of each term and I would visit them in the second term and the third term was barely worth mentioning because it was like 4 weeks long in practice). My dad was a dick last year on my bday and I had sworn to never spend another birthday with them but I’d take it back in a heartbeat just for this year

Also look at these tiny babies, the white one had a stroke and nearly died just before lockdown started and it’s killing me that I might not be able to see all 3 gerbs alive and well again (they are 2 and a bit years old which isn’t old really but we’ve lost quite a few at 2 1/2 years old)
