looks like a low-rent blade runner sequel

hmm last thing I read that I thought was amazing was the lover by maguerite duras. have you read any richard brautigan? in watermelon sugar is vaguely vonnegutty maybe. both of those are extremely two short. or how about vermillion sands by ballard? that’s like interconnected short stories

Still another hour and a half here. Bleugh

Evening NR and assorted DiSers,

Had potato waffles, scrambled egg and beans for dinner which was surprisingly satisfying.

Been playing with the trainset a lot this afternoon because someone awesome sent a set of junction pieces for R :grinning:

just look at this layout!

Doing holiday packing, watching TdF highlights hopefully and need to water the plants.

Lads, moving out/in is such a fucking pain. This is why I haven’t done it for years. Bollocks to figuring out bills.

I stayed in a house with an absolute nightmare of a housemate for 3 years because I couldn’t be fucked with it.

I moved 5 times in the space of 3 years. Always so so so shit.

Got home, had another cry, laid down for a bit to try to rest off my antihistamine allergic reaction earlier.
Now I’m waiting for bf to come home and make me a stir fry

Hiya.

Have done nothing productive today. Instead, I have:

  • had a massive breakfast/brunch
  • had lots and lots of cat cuddles
  • had a really good and cooling swim in the sea
  • had a nap
  • watched the first season of Glow

Gonna cook some pasta for dinner now.

is fibre bad for a jelly belly? got a bad case of the epimers but fancy a fibre based chocolate biscuit.

I’ve never heard of the Japuvian place in Hamilton - tell me what it’s like.

Sorry everyone

GF has gone away until september which is sad, so I cooked a chickpea curry to make myself feel better, also gonna massively clean my room!

Evening!

question on surprise birthday parties - we’re planning my great aunt a surprise party tomorrow, and she’s been asking her sisters if they want to go out for coffee etc tomorrow. all of them have said no because of bullshit reasons (going to the hairdressers being the worst). so:

  • unnecessarily making someone feel like shit for a few days before their birthday because no one wants to see them
  • YEAH SURPRISE BIRTHDAY WILL BE SO RAD

I’ve reached an all-time low

Having a great day actually. A film at The BFI and walked to Shoreditch with The Go-Betweens on earphones. Had a date/drink with a girl, kissed her and now I’m going to walk to Camden and will stop off now and again for a half pints at pubs along the way to break the walk up.

(Don’t worry. I’ll be my usual grumpy self tomorrow. Today is a blip.)

I hope everyone is having a great evening. Have fun one and all.
