My poor mum had a mare with the pancakes, they ended up more like omelettes. I feel so bad cos normally sheβs amazing at pancake making!

Pancakes were at lunch and eaten to fast for pictures. Had to do them then because R goes pretty up on sugar so try keep deserts to earlier in the day.
We had fresh lemon rather than the more traditional plastic one (seems more environmentally friendly, if less fun) and I grated some of the zest and mixed it in the batter for extra lemon power.
