Daughter is officially not required at school tomorrow. Years 8 and 9 not going in for the foreseeable, as they are managing staff shortages by focussing on the year 7s and the GCSE / A level years, which makes sense. Told her and she immediately screamed and ran upstairs to FaceTime her friends. She’s excited and a little bit scared as well, think this has made everything more real.

In other news, I am still replaying Witcher III. Finished the main story, determined to get all the DLC trophies.

Back from a pretty idyllic holiday in a log cabin by a loch. I had my laptop with me and would have gladly stayed but my partner works in a school and felt strongly about getting back to help his colleagues as they prepare to shutdown in coming weeks/months (plus the thought of needing airlifted in the case of an emergency freaked me out.) So we’re back home. Son is going to nursery tomorrow and I’m going to smash through as much work as I can, as I think we’re all going to home together by the end of the week (Which will mean we need to rota time for working effectively). I bleached some skirting boards earlier which I normally only ever do when I’m very hormonal or it’s new year. Strangest of times.

I only say less stressful cause I’ve only done it a coupla times so theres still the novelty, and certain tasks are way breezier when theres no one going to ask you about them… and finishing work and already being at home is omigosh so lovely
