Having one of those rubbish days. Shouted at M and now i cant even remember what for. Washing machine is broken so thereās soaking wet clothes all over the kitchen floor, guess i should put them in the bath or something?
Canāt wait for bed though and to read more of my statues book
Oh no, washing machine death is never fun. Or do you reckon it can be repaired? I once flooded mine by way of a pillow and too much washing liquid. Was a nightmare and most of a roll of kitchen roll to dry the inside where the sensor was and still had to wait a day or so before it worked again I think.
Got a supermarket pizza that needs eating , got some squeaky bean salami that I might stick on it.
Had some pretty crap work news today which looks like Iāve been working a case like 2 years that will come to nothing because someone didnāt take some right actions before that.
Landlady is getting me a new one in the next week or two - another cheap one that will break in a matter of weeks and Iāll just not tell her in case she thinks Iām smashing them up. This one broke years ago, but was useable. On to my third in 6 years. Wish landlords would buy decent stuff.
Monumental Lies by Robert Bevan. Actually commissioned to write it before BLM and the statue backlash but has included it as it happened during writing. It started quite DIE TORIES which yeah, but youāre never going to get them to your point of view that way but that aside Iāve found it really illuminating and helpful so far (to help inform my tours and work and that)
Itās not just statues either, its about public realm and architectural heritage.
(In 2005 I lived in a house that had a washing machine from at least the 80s - it was brown and tan. We were told we could only run it on the setting labelled G or it would break. No manual so no idea what G actually did.)
Me when my nose is blocked and my eyes are itchy tomorrow despite hoovering the bedroom, the mattress, buying new bedsheets and duvet cover, an anti-allergy mattress topper and pillow protectors and a dehumidifier.
Did a meatball pasta bake for tea, was good. Started another rewatch of The Office (US) on Netflix as it and Superstore are leaving it on Jan 1
In work tomorrow for my first KIT day and im way more nervous than I expected to be. Got my bag ready already, and minis back for my MILās as ill be having to leave at 7.40am as it is to drop her off and then get to the office, hopefully via a drive thru Costa or Starbucks (traffic permitting).
Might have a sleepy time tea later so I actually sleep when mini goes asleep instead of reading for an over an hourā¦
