booking ferry to Scotland and back for later this week. i did NOT need to read this while doing so:

also dreading the length of the journey but it’s half the price of flying. the bus journey from Stranraer to Glasgow is proper scenic too.

Oh, still haven’t made that journey yet, I’d say it’s gorgeous. Was trying to convince my dad to drive me over with all my stuff (record player and records mainly) when I moved to Scotland but he wasn’t too keen on it!

i did it a few years ago to Edinburgh (which was a bit longer obviously). the way over was a bit horrible for a couple of reasons - was at 6am, was full of skinhead Rangers fans and there was a problem with the ferry so we all had to sit around on it for an extra hour or something while they figured it out. which also meant we missed an afternoon Fringe show we had tickets for. the journey home was lovely though. always intend to do it again but always end up flying as it’s such a brilliantly short flight, but need to save a bit of money this time round.

apparently you can do a day return for only a tenner. sounds great except that’s like 12 hours of travelling in one day with only a few hours at your destination…

Hello!

Just got home from work. Was a pretty stressful shift for the first 2-3 hours but improved later. And I just made the bus home from the city centre when I got off the subway, when I thought I’d have to wait ten minutes for the next one. Yessssss.

I have a massive headache. Was falling asleep on the train home. Done a rough track of ambient / background sound for a minute-and-a-half video assignment that’s got to be in Friday before a group presentation needs to be prepped to be presented on next Tuesday.
