Ever eaten an orange/satsuma or anything like that?

I’ve just tried one and they’re really delicious!

If I’m in lidl then I’m getting something nice from the bakery, wouldn’t even dream of buying fruit there.

fruit is nice now we’re adults

I disagree I prefer sweeties

bought a big bag of chewy sweets for £2 too, you can have those if you want

Not into them. If they could guarantee “no pith” I’d love the damn things though!

I don’t know what pith is so I can live happily ever after

I won’t sully your experience, Bammers. Happy munching!

Not worth the hassle to me. I’m a busy man.

And by “busy” I of course mean “gassy”

No I haven’t.

Love a navel orange.

Satsumas and related are also great.

Only if i slice them with a knife. I hate every element of the pithy bit and will not go near an ornage or ornage adjacent fruit unless that shit is dealt with

Yes. I wish more shops would sell them singly, though. When I get a bag of them it’s too much for one person before some of them start going off.

Is there a food with a bigger gulf between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ than the satsuma?

I think if you could get the juice out of an orange without any trace of pith or fibrous disgustingness, it would be delicious. Like popping every little bit of every segment with a needle to release the juice instead of squeezing it and mashing all the insides up in the process. But they’re basically inedible because the pure juice is the only nice bit and what’s left in your mouth after you’ve bitten into a piece and all the juice has run out of it is vile
