Had to get CRB checks for work a couple of times if that counts. I donât have a criminal record so nothing interesting there.
In the days before GDPR, I once requested the details of all pub licensees (including pub addresses) from every local authority in the UK.
It was work-related, I wasnât just collecting a database of all UK pubs for the hell of it, although I could definitely see the appeal.
Took me ages to pluck up the courage to ask a DJ for that tune one New Yearâs Eve. Buoyed by a few ÂŁ2 rum and cokes, I bounded up to the decks and made my request. Iâll never forget his steely gaze and attitude of complete disdain as he said
