I was going to a meeting today to try and secure some funding for a big project we’re doing, and one of my employees said “Couldn’t you have put on some better trousers?”, as though the whole thing hinged on that. But I still think it would have gone worse with no trousers.

driving in neutral wastes more petrol - leave it in a highish gear and stay off the accelerator

Putting the toilet roll on the thingy on the wall.
Closing cupboard doors.
Taking the tea bag out of the cup of tea.
Putting on shoes, I mean shoes where you need to untie your shoe laces.
When you’re in a changing room, putting the clothes back on the hangers.

do people fill up their car everyday…?

:grimacing:

But if no one wore trousers this would not have been an issue.

Oooft really? Even when rolling down a hill?

I don’t fill up the car with petrol. It’s one of my life rules.

Won’t even pay for it either. That job doesn’t fit into my remit. I will do dishwasher maintenance instead.

Oh yeah, the cat thing definitely. If they could knock you out and feed off the corpse they would. Plus my cat actually comes in to wee in the litter tray, and then goes back out again. Furry bastard.

depends on your daily mileage I guess, but yeah I realised the error of my reply after I’d hit ‘Reply’. I was trying to be amusing and failed!

Think you are living in the past, neutral rocks the party nowadays.

yeah. If the clutch is engaged then your turning wheels keep the engine running.#
If you are in neutral (or are riding the clutch) the engine has to use petrol to stop the engine stalling

I have an 18 year old car. Have things changed?

Genuinely love changing lightbulbs. The frisson of danger!

brushing my teeth. It’s boring and I often have some kind of ulcer or sore bit in my mouth which makes it uncomfortable. Also usually only remember the late sesh once I’ve got into bed and then I need to get out of bed which is the worst.

I like petrol station visits though

yeah one of my cats basically refuses to do her business outside, so the litter tray is back
