love the opening sequence in rogue nation, that stunt where he’s strapped to the side of the place is mental ![]()
This Cineworld season has lined up nicely with my partner and I being in the middle of watching through all these for the first time. Going to see Rogue Nation tonight, I’m trying to make the case for at least Fallout tomorrow as well.
Watched this the other day on the ol’ streaming.
As others have pointed out the first half was rough as anything, but the two big set-pieces were pretty great so I’ll let them off. Maybe let it go now though, eh Tom?
Will be using “this is exactly what the Entity wants!” whenever I’m getting told off in the future…
@SenorDingDong you were complaining about the lack of recent submarine films, no? This should scratch that itch!
It’s a step in the right direction, but we need the full, undiluted submarine film experience. Alarms going off, tension among the chain of command, sonar pips, a submarines from opposing powers hunting each other, all set within the greatest confined space that cinema has to offer.
I’m watching the first one of these for the first time right now.
Hope you all enjoyed your watches and rewatches when you did that a couple of years ago.
Hell yeah
TIL that Jon Voight’s daughter is Angelina Jolie (and that John Voight took a political turn for the worst about 20 years ago)
