Evil horrible fucking landlord question

So my tenancy is up for renewal in November, and our landlord is increasing the rent by 380 pound. They gave us the option to move in another tenant into the tiny room we use as storage to cover this, which we have arranged. However, they’re asking for 300 pound in fees now for this person to move in.

Bear in mind that this is a private landlord and no agents are involved.

We should tell em to fuck off right?

anyway, sounds like a cunt. i would move out unless you’re desperate to stay.

do you have a copy of the contract? i would take that to the citizens advice bureau and see if they can help.

the landlord is being extremely shitty!
