in a tiny box

I saw an episode of casualty where someone hit the wall with their racquet, which broke the head off it, then they fell on the broken racquet and impaled themselves in the neck.

Agree with this completely.

Have we had this conversation on here before?

This episode is why I’ve always been wary of playing squash.

EDIT: aha!

Yeah, my “routines” are just a bunch of stuff I don’t hate doing. I think I’m covering the important stuff though and there’s enough variety.

Squats and deads on the same day!? and both in a session twice a week?

GL your lower back and hammies!

I’ve always thought that squats and deads(esp if you’re going quite heavy should be 48/72hr apart, and if you do them on the same day you should wait a week before going again - might be a load of bro science, but kinda does make sense from a CNS overload, muscle fatigue point of view

Exercising is good

They’re all googleable, but I can explain tomorrow if you cba

Really? Eek.

I stay well away from bro-science stuff because I don’t want a ROUTINE FOR ULTIMATE LEG DEATH or MASSIVE KILLER ARMS IN 12 DAYS. My lower back is fine, but my hammys do wail some days. Maybe I’ll ease off a bit - thanks!

Try to run 50-60km a week over 4-5 runs. I love running, especially long distances, as it gives me some space and time to think or listen to music/podcasts. I realise I’m massively privileged to have the ability and time to run, but I think the thing I like most about it is that it’s something really simple and controllable compared to other things you have to deal with in life; the more you run the further you’ll be able to run and if you do it faster you’ll gradually get faster. It is also, without a doubt, the single most positive thing I can do for my MH.

DO YOU EVEN LIFT?

and if so, have you ever been to see a trainer / coach / someone that knows what they’re doing to have a look at your form? do you just get gym pals to watch you? i know you could record yourself and watch it back but i don’t feel comfortable switching on a camera inside a gym tbh…

not keen on fucking my back lifting like a total dickhead, which i almost certainly am

Nice vid pal! :innocent:

Just saw this and YES. I get so grumpy when I don’t climb well. A session with no top-outs or no progress on projects gets me in a right mood. I do not like that I get like that. That’s why I like regular route setting, I need stuff to be progressing on.

Yay Wellingborough!

Feel very inferior to all you gym bros and gals, it’s s annoying I have loads of time I’m just lazy. What’s good exercise for lazy people?
