mainly because nobody really follows them, they’re overbearing, convoluted ie. “colours work best when separated by a third of the colour wheel but are still within the same colour range.” do they? and I don’t know who came up with the rules.
Like, I’ll stick to the approved logo and the colours we generally have used throughout previous developments, but I’m not digging out a 40 page guide on what I should use alongside fuschia. I am also incredibly discerning with great taste so lets just trust me to make things look shit hot baby

The other ‘o’.

Ok you sound like one of the good ones :+1:
I don’t think anyone ever follows the extremes of style guides ( think people only put that stuff in to bulk out the work tbh)

Yeah, totally agree. £600 a day sounds OK. I’m sure I paid similar to have my living room repainted, and only 3 people look at that, as opposed to the Boots logo which I assume is more than 3.

hope one day we live in a world without eyes so we don’t have to see company logos

maybe the a good idea in the short term would be to work towards a world without stylisation or art as we are not in control of how these act upon us

I’m working hard to figure out the solution and would encourage others to do the same

seems happy enough

I love this website. Pores over the logo culture like a bag of wet hot bin bag splop going on to your bare toes on a early morning.

Interestingly, it changes colour following Whatsapp and Instagram, the filthy fuckers

It’s the Facebook parent company not Facebook social media thing. Face news.

Fun fact: My uncle was part of the team that designed the British rail logo.

Less fun fact: Never hear from him, doesn’t really interact with our side of the family. I don’t think we’re new-rich enough for him (i.e. not at all)

Was he involved in the pamphlet about railway safety that you got at school that Quentin Blake illustrated and there was a bit where a kid stuck his head out a train window and his head came off?

I don’t think so just this thing that I know of:
