access course is for thickos who don’t have the required grades to go straight to uni, man. simple one year course to see whether the academic life is for you, or not.

they did offer me the gig a week later, as my personal statement was something to behold apparently (thanks @Songs_about_ducking ) and some chump had pulled out, but I had some other things going on then anyway.

Don’t remember failing a school exam bar my technology SAT after i’d smoked some brutal doobies. Had a weird knack of sailing through exams without doing any revision at all and attending as few lessons as possible. Ultimately, COURSEWORK.

Failed a couple of driving tests.

I was going to say a number of job interviews but, looking back on it, the standard of candidates was very high and they’ve kept my details on file, so maybe too soon to call it a failure.

failed my ICT GCSE.
it was a year long assignment that the teacher just left us to get along with. spent most of my time dossing about cos of attention deficit / not caring that much. handed in a half finished thing

I had exactly the same thing, we had 3 teachers over the 2 gcse years. Each time they came in and said we were going completely wrong and made us start again - I remember year 11 Easter holidays they said we have to come in if we wanted to get coursework done and pass, obviously cba with that and had to do ‘key skills’ at college as a result which was basically showing us how to use word and excel lol

We used to just do drawing competitions on paint during IT.

3/4 of my college class didn’t have C grade in IT, so we all had to do key skills. teacher did fuck all and most of the class failed the multiple choice assessment. i didn’t though, cause i knew everything, just never did IT at gcse in the first place.

yeah the exact same thing happened to us, think we had 2 teachers cos the first one sprained his ankle playing badminton and couldn’t come in anymore (??)

Feels like IT at school was so shit as they couldn’t afford decent stuff and it was before iPads and coding and all the stuff schools do now, so it was basically making spreadsheets on excel which literally everyone could already do. Pointless fucking lesson

Like the stuff I’m teaching year 5 is way more advanced than anything I did at school.

I didn’t do IT GCSE but the teacher at our school set the wrong coursework apparently meaning nobody got above a C

for some reason when I was applying to university I decided rather than do sociology I would do sociology and economics joint (thought it would be more sensible than straight sociolology), failed all three economics double modules (macro, micro, applied stats, also failed to talk to anyone in three years but thats another story), like really fail 8% or something, think I managed to pass micro and stats in summer retakes, they said I could stay as long as I gave up economics which was fine by me sociology is a lot better subject anyway. In my second year I failed the core social theory module, still don’t understand how because everything else I got 2.1’s for and it didn’t feel like I did any worse in the exam, so had to retake it that summer.

Also failed 4 driving tests, took so long to pass my theory test expired.
