Charlie Clements (Bradley Branning) at a Gary Numan gig, 2008 IndigO2

Appropriately enough, given we’re in the middle of the Euros, I saw Stuart Pearce in the audience at Scala for a James gig a while back. He had a face like absolute thunder, although that might - speaking as a fellow member of the resting angry face crew - just be his normal expression.

Kane Dingle from Emmerdale at some gig at Sound Control in Manchester. Him and his mate were chatting away in each others ears right in front of me so I couldn’t see a thing. I tapped him on the shoulder politely and he kindly ushered me in front of them so I could see. Nice man.

Also sat next to MAH at the Albert Hall for Nils Frahm.

I was at that

Gaizka Mendieta at the Air Traffic reunion gig in London a few years back!

Falco and Julia Ruzicka at Shellac Electric Ballroom 2019
Didn’t have the nerve to speak to any of them…

Dakota Blue Richards at TV on the Radio at the Roundhouse
Matthew Horne at Out Lines in a pub in Angel. Thinking back, it might have just been James Graham watching the support act.

Watching Primal Scream at the ritz in Manchester ( xtrmntr tour) managed to get a balcony seat. Mate goes off to the loo. 10 seconds later Bernard Sumner nicks the chair stood with him were Peter Hook (they were still talking then) Stephen Morris and Mark e Smith.

I didn’t say a thing, but when my mate came back he asked for the seat back. Which he got back but he didn’t realise who took it. I told him, he looked horrified New order are his favourite band.

Adam Buxton and Louis Theroux at Parquet Courts, Roundhouse 2018. Up on the balcony, and they were about three feet away from me. With a couple of their sons I think.
I was on my own and not drinking that night so had no nerve whatsoever to try and talk to them. Probably for the best!

Steve Davis and Kavus Torabi (that’s the bloke from Guapo right?) at SunnO))) in Bristol.

Will Smith watching his wife’s (awful) nu-metal band at the side of the stage at Download.

Tim Harrington from Les Savy Fav watching Earth at the Underworld (he’s absolutely enormous).

Just imagine how awkward a fanboy chat with J Mascis would be!

I saw J watching a Dinosaur Jr tribute band in Bristol or someone who looked like him watching actual Dinosaur Jr.

Scroobius Pip at the last At The Drive-In gig before they dumped Jim (poor Jim)

Nick Cave at a Bonnie Prince Billy gig at Dingwalls sometime in the 90s. Conicindentally, I’d earlier clocked him on the platform at Temple Meads station waiting for the same train as me. Later, I came across Stewart Lee in the bogs and we chatted about Giant Sand. Bogof.

Paul McGann watching Kraftwerk at the Royal Festival Hall. I accosted him outside and said something about Withnail and I. He was very polite. Also same gig, Grace Jones giving it all “don’t you know who I am” to security to try and get in. They looked terrified and in she waltzed :grinning:
