I specifically waited another hour once so I could get a class 37 unit running down the cumbria coast line
Lots wrong with Ivor to be fair. No sign of any water storage to be seen on him, the coal tender looks way too small to be useful and really difficult to get the coal out of. Lucky he always had dragons on hand to bail him out.
Ivor has pannier tanks on the side of the boiler, and a coal bunker behind the cab
He did not have a tender.
Yeah that’s the tender I was talking about.
Love that “Oh bollocks!”
Really small isn’t it.
By the look of it the driver has to shovel his own coal as well
Sounds like Ivor’s a bit of a prick. Sorry for bringing him up.
- The Visitor (9 February 1976) – A rock on the line turns out to be a wounded elephant. Jones and Ivor take the elephant, named Alice, and her keeper to Mr. Hugh’s gasworks to recuperate.
They don’t write 'em like that any more
Certainly my first thought as an appropriate location.
Anybody talking shit about Ivor best be prepared to catch these hands
