Fancy potatoes

Dauphinois potatoes are one of the things in life that I’m best at.

When i can be bothered i like to do those ones where you thinly slice then 3/4 of the way down and roast them, but I often think it’s too much hassle.

One fancy potato per night, to savour them more

Royal = fancy

that’s why they call them ‘hassle backs’. Unsure if wolfcastle.

Now please select the corresponding option in the poll above. Thank you.

I want to vote for both Hassleback and Dauphinoise. Struggling with this qu tbh

I think Fondant are a bit all mouth and no trousers - rather have chips

Apart from those, Dauphinoise and Bravas I have not had any of the others in the poll

You’ve been bothered to do that once.
And iirc they were a bit underwhelming.

Can’t tolerate dairy, so will pick boulangère over dauphinoise

Why isn’t Gwen Stefani a fan of potatoes prepared in a Swedish style

I make a really tasty tomato and potato gratin.
It’s a nice summer alternative to dauphinoise.

What annoys me about Hasselback potatoes is that they always take longer to cook than you expect (and than any recipe online tells you). Love them when they’re done though.

Other - rosti.

Trick is regularly dousing them in butter (and getting a sauce pot for this purpose).

Delicious if you give them the attention they need.

Thank you for this reminder I would like to make rostis for breakfast again soon @avery

They’re superior in any case, in my opinion.
