Good write up in the Guardian today:

Guys - did you know that Tommy Wiseau is 62 years old!?!

i saw the disaster artist last night. it was good and i enjoyed it. james franco is very very good as tommy and i genuinely forgot it actually wasn’t tommy wiseau at some points.

I’ve got tickets to see it at the Prince Charles in a couple of weeks

Think it’s out in 2 weeks

It’s out now! Might go and see it

Likes the room, hates toy story 2. You’re doing films wrong!

Fans of the room should watch this amazing review in the meantime

I was considering going to a double-bill screening (this and The Room, as I’ve never seen The Room but want to), but it (predictably, I guess) seems to have sold out. Darsh.

I haven’t seen the room but I have watched A LOT of clips of it and feel as tho I get the gist. Should I still go see the disaster artist tonight or wait until I’ve watched the room properly?

In the mean time, play the game!

I’ve seen the room but my bf hasn’t. Will this just be super odd if you haven’t seen the room or will he still be entertained?

One of my favourite little bits is after one of the sex scenes, the woman rolls over and has a rose petal stuck to her back and then it falls off.

Just a little thing but the kind of thing that would never happen in a ‘proper’ film.

Went to see it last night, it was great. He really nails the Tommy impression. I’m not sure how much was embellished for the film but Tommy Wiseau is undoubtedly a fascinatingly odd character.

I’d say you don’t necessarily have to have seen the room to enjoy it but you would miss quite a few of the references in the first half of the film. Once you get the gist of tommy then that is funny without any context.

Yeah I really liked it, James Franco seems like a bit unbearable in real life but boy he acts his chops off in this and got all the mannerisms down to a fine art.
