Balm cleansers are the only things that seem to be able to get mascara off (the rare times I wear it these days). Clinique Take the Day off if I’m feeling flush, body shop camomile one of I’m not

This is from just two very sparse coats of that sky high mascara. Excuse the eyebrows and the shocked expression :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Confirmed: modi bodi have changed my life. Where the fuck were these when I was 15/16?? Seems mad I’m only getting these at 32 but grateful young girls have so many more options.

I got the modi bodi active pants (the regular ones cause of thrush post workout and the period ones for when I’m on) and they’re both just so incredible, especially the period pants!! No more going for runs and my reusable pads just slipping all the way back or forward! Felt so comfy and secure on my run, I’m so happy!

Thanks ladies for the recommendation!! :kissing_heart: :hugs:

So glad you like them. I’ve started gifting them to the people in my life with vaginas! I ordered some of the workout ones too and am waiting for them to arrive.

I think the skincare thread has disappeared! (@laelfy did you ever find the Below Deck thread?)

I wanted to share that I’ve been using a Vitamin C serum from The Ordinary and it is AMAZING. I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks and only every two or three nights but my skin looks so good. It is brighter and looks healthier and smoother (I have quite large visible pores which cannot be changed with skincare but this has improved the look). Downsides are that it tingles/feels weirdly uncomfortable a little after application for about 10-15 minutes (apparently normal and expected according to the website) and you have to use it sparingly otherwise it doesn’t absorb, but overall I’m impressed.

It is this one:

Yes it was a user who deleted their account and started a fresh

Lady Dissers, what have you been doing with your hair for the last few months? My last haircut was in early November and it really shows. Out hairdressers don’t open till end of April. I’m think of getting someone to cut it for me because how bad could it be?

Leaving it in the same ponytail for several days straight. Can’t wait to get a proper haircut but trust no one in my immediate vicinity to do it.

This would be an option for me if I didn’t need to look more presentable when I’m on work trips

I’ve been intermittently trimming my many split ends one by one (and doing my fringe myself but i always do that between cuts anyway). That and lots of olaplex

I may get desperate enough to give the whole lot a trim myself. I’ve got some of those clip things to hold the hair in place (search ‘hair cutting tool’), which i use for my fringe, but haven’t tried them on the lengths yet. A complicating factor is that I’ve got layers and I’m absolutely not attempting to do layers on myself, don’t think my arms are even long enough.

I also have layers but fairly low down. I figured I can cope with taking an inch off and if it’s a disaster I’ll just tie it up till I can get to a hairdresser. It’s at the length now as well where it takes ages to dry

I used to put mine in a ponytail to do stuff like washing my face, then the ponytail got too long and was getting in the way so i had to do a ponytail where i don’t pull the final loop all the way through (no idea what that’s called), and now it’s got to the stage where i do that and the end piece is too long and getting in the way again, so I’m going to have to do a proper bun.

Between that and infrequent leg shaving, I’m going to look like a renaissance painting of Mary magdalene by june

I trim my fringe (badly) when it starts getting in my eyes, have to use a 3 minute hair mask twice a week to make my hair manageable, and otherwise just need to suffer out my fringe and the 3 inches at the root being much darker and grimmer than the rest. My vile natural colour makes my hair look so greasy on non-wash days :frowning: if the bulk is driving me mad I tie it up and if the colour/‘greasy’ look is driving me mad I put a woolly hat on.

I absolutely hate looking at my hair most days at the moment and feel really gross. But there’s no way on this planet I could cut it myself and I think I can last until the end of April (I’m on the list for a haircut at my hairdressers for when they reopen  )

Nothing. Trimming my fringe. My hair is so thick, it looks horrendous at the moment :grimacing:

I got my husband to chop about six inches off my hair a few months ago, but my hair is fine and dead straight so difficult to mess up cutting it. I think it depends on your hair type and how forgiving it will be if the cut is not perfect. I’ve cut my son’s hair twice during this last year and the last time I did it wasn’t great but because it is curly it didn’t really notice.

Would you recommend Olaplex? I’ve been tempted by it for a while but I am also toying with the idea of switching to completely natural hair products.

Yes, although it’s expensive and hasn’t had the life changing effect on my hair that some claim (possibly because it’s best on damage from chemical treatment - my hair isn’t chemically treated so most of the damage is from brushing). It does make my hair feel smoother and maybe stronger for at least a week. I tend to leave it on for a few hours and follow up with a hair mask or strong conditioner as it can have a slightly sort of drying effect in the short term

I know some other disers have used it and may be able to comment, @dingaling has said good things about it and @tilty tried it when she was worried about her hair being damaged by dye i think

I’m not convinced by “natural” stuff personally, as natural doesn’t mean better, or even safer or more environmentally friendly, and if an ingredient works well then it’ll get used in non-“natural” products as well.

Undercut which takes off the bulk and is also punk as.

Woman at work who used to be a hairdresser does my fringe. Not from 2m but am of the opinion that we share a toilet, her child is in my class, we wear masks and it only takes 2m etc so 🤷

Mine is quite thick so would probably be a lot harder
