For me? Dunno, haven’t ever seen any

Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies

Nostalgia reasons. Very quotable. Very naff.

Used to make silly MS Paint and Windows Movie Maker videos as a teen, many of them were about Stamper - a secondary villain in TND - doing inane shit.

Oh come on, surely Tenet is the one in this concept?

John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ (1982).

It’s just a series of Bond set pieces with no plot: ultimate Bond.

The one where the tory does some shagging and kills a foreigner and drinks a martini.

A View To a Kill cos it has the best song.

Remember the one where Sean Connery has surgery to look Japanese

Surprisingly close selection to my own :open_mouth:

They are three of the more ‘real’ Bonds where the story and action is (very vaguely) plausible. For Your Eyes Only in particular is almost a detective story.

Living Daylights has the best theme tune of those three by miles…

the old ones are almost universally shite.

as are the new ones.

so i’d say GoldenEye as it came with a rad N64 game

I would go to bat for The World is Not Enough. Think the Sophie Marceau plot brings a nice element of vulnerability for Brosnan without overplaying it.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, despite Lazenby.

The Hunt For Red October. Appreciated that they tried to do something new with the Bond character.

In a similar vein, very easy to watch The Rock with the head canon that Connery is playing Bond.
