This one? They all look dead and like they’re accusing you of something, possibly of drowning them.

Yeah it would be interesting to see what didn’t make the cut… what he considered too out there for the time. I reckon he painted from memory of his nightmares.

no that’s not it. ok i think compositionally it was identical to this, but not actually this one.

I gave the Deep Dream Art thing the Degas ballet painting, and the Escher drawing as reference, and this is what it came up with, which was not that thrilling:

Picasso’s Guernica is probably my favourite painting.

Either that or Nighthawks which was posted above.

SURE it’s not high art but I loved this enough to buy a signed print (I think its the look on Elmo’s face)

I went to Albrecht Dürer’s house in Nuremburg! It’s well worth a visit. They let you have a go at making your own print of a hare too.

That sounds lovely.

Just love the suspicion in the hare’s eyes. Copied it once for key stage 3 art class; two house points!

Not a painting but my fave

We have a few MC Escher prints in the front room and hallway. I love this one

I went to the Escher exhibition at Dulwich last year, which was good. Also went to one on holiday years ago. Was either in Dubrovnik or Athens,. I can’t remember,.
