Speaking of Soul Jazz, the two compilations they put out this year under the name Soul of a Nation are both excellent. They focus on Jazz, Funk and soul from late 60s and early 70s America, much of it politicised and Afrocentric. There are perhaps a few too many obvious choices if you have investigated this music before but itās all really great stuff (and really you canāt hear Theme de Yoyo or Brown Rice or The Revolution Will Not Be Televised too many times)
