Speaking of Soul Jazz, the two compilations they put out this year under the name Soul of a Nation are both excellent. They focus on Jazz, Funk and soul from late 60s and early 70s America, much of it politicised and Afrocentric. There are perhaps a few too many obvious choices if you have investigated this music before but itā€™s all really great stuff (and really you canā€™t hear Theme de Yoyo or Brown Rice or The Revolution Will Not Be Televised too many times)
