Loads of good ones aren’t there. Watched Copa 71 the other day, about the 1971 Women’s World Cup, thought it was really good
Also enjoyed The Eternal Memory, Gullspang Miracle and Eternal You in the last few months

Thought this was excellent.
The Jonestown one was heavy-going but very good.
I know it wasn’t originally Storyville but I’ve watched OJ: Made In America about 3 times
There’s tons that I’d forgotten had been shown under the Storyville banner (Queen of Versailles, From the Sea to the Land Beyond, Himalayan Boy and the TV Set…). But the correct answer will always be OJ: Made in America. I can’t imagine ever seeing a better documentary than that.
I’ve been barking at my partner to watch this just so I have an excuse to see it again. I’ve even loaded Daft Punk on to my iPod in readiness.
The Truffle Hunters
Just watched this. Katherine Cummings ![]()
This was great but very very bleak.
Not watch this one yet but had it recommended a bunch of times
United Skates
Saw this over a decade ago, once and it still pops into my head on a fairly frequent basis. As heavy as heavy gets, but a brilliant piece of film making.
absolutely love storyville. pretty much spent 4 years at uni getting stoned and working my way through them all on iplayer.
Last Days in Vietnam was on there I think, and there was a good one about the Shin Bet I saw ages ago too. Just good for sticking something random on you know’s gonna be good tho.
It is lovely, very wholesome
It’s good that they stopped editing them down to sixty minutes.
Most of the good ones I’ve seen have gone off iPlayer but I’d like to also thoroughly endorse A Bunch of Amateurs, which is a really lovely and warm piece of filmmaking.
I only remembered because about because the director is making one called The Local about a pub in Bradford as part of the city of culture stuff
