So… Birds of Prey…

Not actually terrible (if not really a lot better than that), but at its best when completely cartoony. Loses momentum about half way through. It would have been better if done by a ‘Crimewave’ era Sam Raimi.
Jurnee Smollett-Bell good value.

in Birmingham these kindsa things are the sort of thing you gather the whole A24 wanker family together for (i.e. you go on your phone and occasionally run into someone from your film course and, more frequently, that bloke with the ponytail and the combat trousers who you can’t quite place where you recognise him from other than from several film screenings of this type)

I enjoyed parasite a lot. Absolutely beautiful to look at. Really enjoyed the geometry of the shots. Thought the plot dipped into being too silly at points and would’ve preferred a slower film with more of the simmering tension and less of the stuff happening.

Nitpicking though, thought it was very good
