Saw Color Out of Space (or Colour Out Of Space to use the original title as Lovecraft wrote before those new spellings came in) last night.
Overall I think an 8/10? It’s very much a homage to Carpenter’s take on this sort of thing (@Lo-Pan) but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and how it looked too, had that Lovercraft feel for sure.
On the other hand Cage is still Cage and it’s a bit odd. I think maybe the notion was to give it that black humour touch that Carpenter had but it doesn’t work as well as a good script and Kurt Russell delivering the lines. Still, a few rough patches aside I definitely had fun.
