Did you know that often in films they use Vitamin B powder as stunt cocaine and Jonah Hill snorted so much Vitamin B making TWoWS he had bronchitis for 3 weeks?

Wasn’t worth it, tbh

Think raging bull, taxi driver and the king of comedy are all great. Don’t think he’s made anything particularly good since

Not seen Raging Bull but the Corra lads who do a film podcast are doing it this week so might try watch tomorrow

Really stuck with me after watching late last year.

always meant to watch this for the Ebert connection

Wait no, I managed a double-level mix-up there! Thought you were talking about Faster, Pussycat, Kill! which i thought he co-wrote - but he actually worked on a different Russ Meyer film, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls

Good work eh

Think I put it 9th in my 2020 list on here, but would probably be 5th or 6th now. :fire:

To link it back though, Josie and the Pussycats is allegedly one of Ebert’s least favourite films (scathing review at the time, gave it half a star).

Idiot.

In The Cut - feel like there was a really brilliant film bursting to get out but it was held back by focusing on the erotic nature rather than the murder mystery.

The Map of Perfect Tiny Thinga - was quite good but about time these time loop films were put to bed as they are all exactly the same now

I hope I never see another film about time travel again in my life

I quite like ones where the time travel causes replicas that leads to mischief (Timecrimes/Triangle etc) but when its just people reliving the same day, cba. People seem well hyped for Palm Springs which I’ve seen, they may as well just watch this film as its the same

i bet you hate Groundhog Day

Course I do, if Bill Murrays in anything it’s got a lot of work to do from the start to get me on board. Yet to see anything manage it

you excite and terrify me more with each passing day

The memeification and love of Bill Murray completely freaks me out. Got no time for him as an actor but that’s a game of opinions, but he’s a pretty well documented utter scumbag of a human being

can’t remember what it was called (probably A Very Murray Christmas or something) but his Netflix Christmas special a few years back was a brutally painful hour of tele.

Groundhog Day is wonderful though, obvs

Leigh Wannell hinting very strongly at an Upgrade sequel

I have an intense dislike for him. Seems such a vile person but its okay cause he washed up at a student party once
