All biopics go starts of as a musician -> everyone tells him he* can’t do it -> he does it -> crashes and burns due to drug addiction -> gets clean -> plays spectacular come back show -> roll credits

Barring the Runaways’ film, I can’t think of any biopics about female musicians*

Really liked both Ray and Walk The Line at the time. Watched them shitloads then and haven’t seen either in probably 10 years since so have no idea if this opinion has aged badly.

Saw Ray on the telly a year or so ago. It has aged very badly, looks and feels very made for TV now, managed half an hour of it. Foxx is still very good in it though
