My dad rang me last night to say that cavani had a 2 match ban because of a tackle on Ricarlison. Was fuming, full on FA out to get us rant

They look the best set up for a crack at the champions league that they’ve ever been. Seemingly know their best 11, can keep a clean sheet, controlling and managing games pretty well and looks like they won’t be in a competitive title race.

Find Daniel Harris the funniest football writer around. I have no memory of Liverpool in the 80s but you had a few writers that would bring absolutely everything back to that era and a feeling that they would never, ever move on. He’s got that with Ferguson - like a Grauniad Castles with Mourinho.

City must be due a champions league by now. 12 years, £2.5billion spent…I mean, they should have won at least 2 but instead I think they’ve made it to a couple of quarter finals. It HAS to be their year.
