Think what M’Bappe and Ronaldo have over Owen and Walcott is tighter close control and more physical strength to go with the pace and finishing. Can play up front on their own if needed because they can do enough of a job holding it up

What’s the best strike partnership you’ve ever seen your team have?

Zamora and Johnson

Actually probably Hayles and Saha

Or McCormack and Dembele

Objectively : son and kane

Most fun: berbatov and Keane, or Klinsmann and sheringham.

Wild card miles better than they had any right to be: Defoe and crouch

Love a good little and large partnership.

When Ashley Young and John Carew signed for Villa, that was great fun to start when Young was played up front

Ronaldo >>>> Mbappe > Owen >>>>> Walcott imo

Marco Van Basten & Dennis Bergkamp

love him to bits obvs. was great value as a player, did the gazza type thing of taking the piss out of opponents and playing up to the crowd, proper clown figure.
was 37 when he left us for hull and still probs the best player in league one, we ended up going down that season after selling him.

he was a boyhood hull fan and then went on to score the play-off final winner for them, fairytale stuff really

Best was probably Smith and Viduka. Favourite was Becchio and Beckford, although they probably played their best football separately.

I’ve got a home shirt from that era somewhere; some of the letters were peeling off so it says RONGBO

In Colchester’s greatest ever season (10th in the Championship, 2006-07) Jamie Cureton and the boy from Coatbridge smashed in a combined 41 league goals.

Halcyon days
