Yeh this is absolutely it. We’ve been crap but we had Gary Doherty and Anthony Gardner as regulars, this group of players is really good or at least should be playing attractive football. There’s no excuse for it beyond Mourinho’s terrible tactics/man management/both

The missed opportunity pisses me off the most. Off the back of the champions league final we would have been a very attractive option for many players, especially with the promise of Poch as well. Seemingly everyone in the football world knew we had to attempt to consolidate that, and Poch had been hinting at the need for a rebuild for ages. To completely ignore that and then give Mourinho more money to spend the next season is so frustrating.

Levy dropped a massive bollock. Was clearly lured by the idea that “serial winner” Mourinho could get some silverware out of this team, while overlooking the fact that they were consistently punching above their weight under Poch in a way modern Mourinho teams rarely do. Took a big risk and fucked it proper.

Sure Jose will win the League Cup and call it the biggest achievement of his career, but anything other than a major trophy and it’s a disaster.
