xG win

There is going to come a point probably a month before the Euros where someone is going to suggest vaccinating the squads & staff. It is going to be a fucking shambles.

Great win. Tuchelball is very impressive so far. Need to create more chances and be way more clinical though. Unfortunately our poor finishing has been a problem for the last 4 managers.

Tottenham were awful. I haven’t watched them much recently, and obviously Kane’s injury doesn’t help, but it feels like they’ve jumped to the “miserable football and everyone is depressed” stage of the Mourinho cycle without the “winning” bit that usually comes first.

Oh look

While all this is undoubtedly true, to be fair to Levy he had definitely been banking on sell out gate receipts at their spanking new stadium paying for this new splurge and maybe figured winning wouldn’t make that much difference either way as long as they stayed in the big tournies and got bums on seats & broadcast money

Chelsea barely outclass a miserable looking Tottenham team in what is a contender for the worst game of the season and they suddenly think they’re world beaters again

They won on number of passes strung together

Inevitable. tbf I don’t think anyone would miss the group stage but I don’t see them replacing it with anything better, and certainly not more egalitarian.

As long as the finances in football are so wildly lopsided I don’t think we’ll ever seen anything approaching “fair”. Just hope they don’t touch the two-legged knockouts from the last 16 onwards - best thing in football.

At least this one had a “goal”

Heading off the threat of a super league by proposing a super league-type format.

Clever.

Don’t think the Carabaou should make way for this, think the international breaks should go

Carabao should exclude teams who play in Europe anyway tbh. Would clear their schedules and make it a more exciting competition for everyone else

Just merge it all. Countries decide whether to send the national squad or their top-flight champions to the Nations League.

Clashes? Idk who cares, they’re all rich, they’ll figure it out.

Exactly this. Let them field their Under-21s if they’re really desperate.

but… you’d never be able to defend your Carabaou trophy as winning it would qualify you for europe

In fairness it’s probably about time Man City let everyone else have a go at it

Can’t tell if wolfcastle but no.

I doubt we could afford his wages, nor do we have the transfer budget he’d want.

Apart from Eze, Hodgson has hardly spent a penny since be took over.

Decided spurs should give it to Ledley till the end of the season. Everyone else has already done the equivalent and they all seem to be having fun (even lamps chelsea was popular with the fans).

(Thought about it though and reckon spurs next manager will probably be Southgate, in august).
