London - Bedford - London on the 22nd; which is about a 100 mile round trip

Then London to Edinburgh on the 23rd, and back on the 3rd, which is roughly 400 miles each way.

So about 900 miles overall.

Might go for a couple of walks down the road to buy milk. If I don’t do anything else then that makes them major journeys doesn’t it? So between 0 and 1 mile.

If you’re going to be a jobsworth like that.

On the 20th December we’ll wake up in Adelaide.
We’ll be spending Christmas in Brisbane (993 miles away)
And then on the 3rd January we’ll be in Sydney (452 miles away from Brisbane)

So 1,445 miles.

HAPPY NOW?

I can probably get some more miles in, because we fly from Adelaide to Brisbane, then drive to Byron bay and spend a few days then, then drive back to Brisbane. That’s another 200 miles.

Leeds - Nottingham - Leeds - Ilkley - Leeds

Only 174 miles this year, mostly pain-free

No, but I’ve flown into Gatwick when they have rail replacement buses and 2 hour queue at car rental

Hove to Halifax to Hertfordshire to Rutland to Hove.

704 miles in total. With a 2 year-old.

thumbs up

Thankfully, very little. Leytonstone → Wanstead and back (2 miles total), then Leytonstone → NE Herts and back (80 miles total).

So about 82 miles.

I might go out on my bike for a few rides, and I’ll probably pop to Stratford and the West End at some point, but I guess those don’t count.

2 mile round trip to my bro’s house on Christmas Day. No 724 miles for me this year!

Oh, and I’m planning on doing a fair bit of DIY over the break, so I’ll no doubt end up making multiple trips to B&Q, Screwfix, Wickes and Selco too.

+Walk

I didn’t include the cycling I’ll be doing, plus being driven / driving myself, then commuting etc. Oh well.

Nice and easy for me. Work mileage excluded, it’ll be a 110 mile round trip.

60 miles Basingstoke - Chichester-ish 24/12
5 miles Chichester-ish - Havant 26/12
45 miles Havant - Winchester 27/12

Correct. Major journeys ONLY.
