I thought that was great - a proper performance.
Here’s a couple of rubbish photos
I think the crowd at Glastonbury shouted ‘I want to run my fingers up your pussy’ louder than last night’s crowd but it was close.
Yup. That is ma hing. That is what am intae.
What a truly remarkable artist. Easily one of my very favourites of all time.
Highlights of the night for me probably Even It Out and When I Grow Up. Such an incredibly strong set though, every single track just an absolute banger performed to perfection.
Sold out two nights in a row of one of the most prestigious old opera houses here and has everyone on their feet raving to a song about tracking down a school kid.
And to think they’ve got all The Knife stuff behind them too. Properly in a class of their own.
Think their latest is probably my favourite thing they’ve done since the highs of Shaking the Habitual too. (Edit - just remembered StH was after FR S/T, so maybe that isn’t as big a statement as it seemed in my head!
)
So excited to see what’s next!
10/10 GOAT ![]()
Struggling to get last weekends gig out of my head. It was so bloody amazing.
Just watched the entire hour long ARTE show on YouTube. It’s a good document of the gig, for those having withdrawal symptoms
@moderators can we update the thread title? It’s triggering as I always want new Fever Ray. ![]()
Edit: Thank you!
Crikey!
Get well soon x
lol’d at frank booth, hope they have a speedy recovery ![]()
For anyone who missed it, there was a live-in-the-studio album released a couple of weeks ago and it’s fantastic, the reworkings are brilliant.
I think this is my favourite FR release.
Absolutely love this version of Even it Out!:
Need to make sure I listen to this. The debit has a special place in my heart, but Have slowly come to the conclusion that Radical Romantics might be just as good. Shiver and Candy in particular, although it’s all great
Yeah, so this record came out at a time when I was on training rotation around the north of Britain. 6 months in a unit, then somewhere new. You tried to live somewhere central but inevitably every so often you would be stuck with an absolute beast of a commute. Worst one I had was the Wirral to Macclesfield, in winter.
This record and especially this song is the sound of those long commutes in the dark, just hoping for a good run instead of a 2hr nightmare so I could get there in time for the 830 handover meeting at the start of the 13 hour shifts. Can’t hear it without thinking of dawn drives through the snow and it was already perfect before that association developed. The whole album is perfect. Think it landed in my top 20 when I did the big countdown thread.
Couple of new ones out today from The Bride soundtrack
Really liked them! Although struggling to tell what the difference is between the ‘Cinematic’ and regular versions.
The new tracks are great! Gave me a nice s/t debut album feel a few times.
First time I played them, via headphones on a plane, I was able make the distinction between the Cinematic and standard versions, although it’s not completely obvious. When I played them in the car with my wife yesterday, wasn’t as easy. Helps to play the different versions back to back, which I did the first time as I’d seen the above comment.
Anyway more of this style please. Properly dark and moody.
