No game is £70. It’s the same price as any other new release, £40-50.
Yes, focusing just on Midgar sucks, but I can see why they’ve done it. It gives that part of the game more time to breath, but as many reviews note, there is filler, and they could’ve ditched some of the menial side quests and expanded more of the game.
In terms of ambition, I think the PS4 era has seen Japan retake some of its PS2 era glory. There’s been some wonderful experiences like Nier Automata, Persona 5, Gravity Rush, and the Resident Evil revivals. And I don’t believe this game was made by the same Square that put out stinkers like FF13 and The Last Remnant last gen.
