Bit confusing. England and Scotland were told not to wear poppies, ignored it and should be punished. Wales didn’t wear poppies but had poppies in the stadium and will now face an investigation and possible punishment. Did Fifa state previously that the ban extended beyond the actual wearing of the poppy ?
this is definitely the year the backlash against poppies jumped the shark

Don’t think so.
Just wondering how this works in the minds of the FIFA execs: do we now have to include a fan/steward/barperson who wears a cross and chain or a Star of David or Muslim headwear?
