Hello @filmclubbers! :two_hearts:

Now that I’m back from that summer job I’m more than ready for some dark autumn nights with the film club. However, seeing as I’ve not been a part of any discussions or even really know how you guys’ve been running it in the past couple of months, I wanted to get an idea of what actual current plans are in motion, as well as more general ideas for content etc.

I’m happy to go back to organising the film club if that’s a thing that people want (maybe with occasional «guest stars» like we’ve had recently?), but if you prefer something else I’m happy with that too (unless what you want is stupid of course :stuck_out_tongue:).

Thoughts? Ideas? Dreams and visions?

would quite like to go back to everyone nominating something and picking the one we watch from that selection. talked a bit about ways to do it here:

seemed like people were happy to go with films by release date for the next couple. so was thinking anything pre-1980 for the first one (since netflix doesn’t have that many to choose from) then either each decade or in five year groups for after that. (ie 80-85 then 85-90… )

don’t really mind how we do it tbf happy to watch most things

happy with our dear leader @whiterussian taking back over but you need to work on your timer game. @japes and @anon89873996 have taken that shit to the next level

i’ve not joined any of these in ages cos i’m too chaotic, I liked doing it by category with everybody nominating one though

also good when someone puts the film in the thread title so more people see it
