obviously this used to be a huge thing when it was the only way to see a film, when now we have to wait about 4 days before something is available to watch at home
Despite that, what films HAVE you made the effort to see in cinemas more than once?
Apologies to anyone I’ve made feel old with this thread
It’s a Wonderful Life I’ve seen many, many times over the years.
Saw Jurassic Park three times in one summer when it was released in 93. I was 8 and absolutely obsessed. Think I saw it one more time many years later for an anniversary.
Can’t think of any others. Both of those I went for the second viewing on a re-release well after seeing it for the first time (in Jurassic Park’s case, decades later), I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same film in the cinema in the space of a few weeks.
Jaws is probably the one I’ve seen most at the cinema - when it was first released then 2 or 3 times in the subsequent years.
I remember seeing Silence Of The Lambs the day it was premiered and then went back the following day to watch it again. Did something similar with Pulp Fiction.
American Pie (possibly saw this four or five times when it came out)
Evil Dead 2 (if a screening on a big screen in the middle of the woods counts)
Home Alone (including one private screen hire for my wife’s birthday one year)
Ended up seeing Big Fish in the cinema three times for some reason even though it is quite bad.
Recently ended up seeing a fair few twice as a result of seeing them normally and then seeing them at MediCinema.
Think I went to see Parasite and Moonlight a couple of times each as a result of just loving them. Any other example has mainly been because I’ve seen them with my partner and then again with mates or vice-versa.
