Films you were really really excited to see in the cinema

Spice World (1996)
The Pokemon Movie (1999)
The Simpsons Movie (2007)

Just remember being very excited for these, especially the Pokemon one

I’m really excited to see nearly all films in the cinema!

Here are films that I could have seen for free at my normal cinema with my Unlimited Card but chose to pay money for at special screenings or IMAX or whatever on accounts of being so excited for them though:

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One
Megalopolis
The Brutalist
Oppenheimer
Dune Part One and Two
The Irishman
Tenet

Plus quite a lot of other ones that I can’t recall precisely right now

Me too. Still don’t think it was that bad!

Fury Road. Was right to be excited.
Stargate. Was wrong to be excited.

For me it’s seeing the classics for the first time on the big screen that I anticipate the most. Since I started going to the NFT, to see the screenings of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Fanny and Alexander, Female Trouble, The Apartment, A Brighter Summer Day, Jeanne Dielman etc etc in a full house cinema screening was quite something.

Didn’t drink any water for like six hours before going to see Avengers: Endgame so I wouldn’t need to use the loo midway through it.

really wanted to see this for my birthday, but we went to see Jumanji instead, which, tbf to my mum, was a 10/10 and almost certainly better by a long way

(still never seen Space Jam :frowning:)

my sister’s memory retconned that it was her who wanted to see it, but it came out here four days after my 9th birthday, so y’know :unamused:
