The Nest Collective brings its unamplified, worldwide roots concerts into hidden spaces across London for its summer series of fireside listening…
A unique path for discovering music and London’s hidden spaces, The Nest Collective’s summer series includes Campfire Club, weekly from May through to September, and UnampliFire on Saturday 9th June, taking you on a worldwide musical journey through the city with carefully curated, unplugged concerts.
The Nest Collective, founded by Mercury nominated artist Sam Lee, welcomes small audiences to gather around the fire for summertime evenings of unamplified intimate performances from world-renowned artists creating new music rooted in global movements. These unique sonorous experiences connect communities with each other, with nature, with music, and with oral traditions, “tending the flame [of tradition], not worshipping the ashes” (Gustav Mahler).
Campfire Club gigs take place weekly, celebrating London’s wild sanctuaries away from the hustle and bustle, a quiet place to come together and listen in one of the nine carefully mapped green spaces across the city, covering all four corners of the map, including; Bethnal Green, Bow, Shoreditch, Islington, Kings Cross, Queens Park, Stockwell, Peckham, and Brockley.
Meanwhile, on June 9th, The Master Shipwright’s House, the oldest upstanding building of the historical Deptford Royal Dockyard, home and office of the Master Shipwright since 1513, with its spectacular gardens & river frontage - “Hidden London at its delightful best” (The Telegraph) - will host four eclectic stages, indoors and out, including campfire sing-a-longs.
