Former DiSer @olegrich on Sunday 23 November 2008, around 1 PM, in Regents Park.

I had seen him at some gigs previously and he’d posted pics of himself on DiS so I was pretty sure who it was. I approached and started talking to him. We were both on our way to the first ever DiS football match.

Met another 25+ DiSers 10 mins later, obviously.

I’ve only met one so far, sat next to @Twinkletoes at Tim Hecker in Leeds (last year?), as it was a gig we didn’t get chance to have much of a chat but seemed like a bloody nice bloke :slight_smile:

Hoping to meet a lot more at the DiS State gig in Feb!

@eltham, but as pre-DiS friends probably doesn’t count.

Hard to say which of the football lot I encountered first as my memories of the first ever game was hazy. I remember meeting @aboynamedgoo and the rest of the dolphins (victoriousssss) at the 5 a side tournoi.

In a social setting that was a non-football related it was quite possibly @plasticniki and @chintzylacroix but by then I had met a lot of DiSers via the football/

@nice.squirrel - who doesn’t post here any more but I believe is now married to Bamos? She said that I was her favourite new DiSer :slight_smile:

One of my IRL friends posted on DiS for a while, but neither of us mentioned it until he managed to put two and two together and work out who I was. So technically he was my first.

Only one is @MarsBonfire who I met 23 years ago. I’ve sat next to @plasticniki on a train, but neither of us realised until later. Other than that you’re all just pixels on a screen to me :wink:

I think it was probably @meowington who came to my rescue when I was lost on my way to one of Xylo’s open mic nights back in the day. Goes without saying that she’s an absolute delight. Pretty sure that night was the last time I was ever drunk as well.

Every community member I have met has been, at worst, thoroughly pleasant.
