Ah, I’m just going off a timetable on clashfinder, but I forgot that it may not be fully accurate on times yet, so perhaps it won’t happen. At the moment it says Penguin Cafe from 19:30 to 20:30 and Perfume Genius from 20:00 to 21:00.

It is, I guess it’s subtle differences between must see bands and just enjoyable ones. It’s is always good though…personally I feel it’s much stronger than last year.

Wonder how well the Erased Tapes stuff will work on the piano stage. Caught a great East India Youth show there a couple of years ago but just happened to be passing at the right time around noon. Unless it’s moved to some place else it’s going to be rammed when stuff is actually advertised as playing there (unless it’s going to be somewhere else with better access and more space).

Yep, it does seem a bit of a change to have it advertised for such a small space. I think I’ll try and get there early and hopefully get a good spot to stay there for all three acts.

Will be interesting to see how it works, as there will be sound bleed from both the Garden Stage and the Disco Ship (if there’s anything going on there at the time). Saw Phosphorescent do a late night set there one year, with Bad Moon Rising drowning him out from the Disco Ship. In the end he just gave up and joined in.

sooooo car seat headrest

i’d completely written them off but i’m listening to teens of denial and kicking myself. belter!

but they’re shit live?

This is the thing…check out their performances on YouTube. Plenty of tight songcraft and energy…it just all falls away with the singer’s lack of presence. It’s not all his fault or irredeemable though… his vocals are usually way too low in the mix…he just needs to embrace it a bit more.

I’ll still be at the garden stage willing them to turn it into a storming set. ToD is a brilliant album

Have people received their tickets yet?

Inexplicably, we still haven’t decided whether to go!

Yep, got them just before the Twickets links went live. There seem to be quite a few available on there, don’t know how quickly they’re shifting though.

Cool. Think I might’ve accidentally deleted them whilst drunk on holiday. What a moron.

Anyway, might be sticking two super-earlybirds up if I find them, and we ever make a bloody decision.

ents24 are saying that Daughter are playing - anyone heard anything?

Hope this isn’t a mistake

hmmmm they’re slated to play Electric Picnic as well but they aren’t on the EP line-up page. Might be a mistake, but odd that they’ve been pencilled in by ents24 for both festivals.

Confirmed admin error. They haven’t been added. Shame, decent band.

MIFFLE OVER!

Not going.

I know you’ve been worried. Sold my tickets on twickets in under 10 mins. Lovely. See you there next year.

Shame, personally think it’s a really strong year.

Hope you sold one to Big Jeff

Two reasons I’m not going, but main one is that none of our friends are, and it is usually our only time to see them in a year. Also, I like lots of the bands, but don’t love any of them. If there was a single band for me to pin my excitement to, I’d still go, but basically a £500-£600 saving and am off now to buy tickets to Metz, Wolf Parade, and The Magnetic Fields instead.

Fair enough. There’s at least five artists (Bill, Slowdive, FJM, Perfume Genius, Blanck Mass, KLO) that I’d buy separate gig tickets for so on that basis it’s worth it…but even then I’d rather go to a festival than 10 separate gigs that I’d like. It’s the atmosphere, the variety, the chance of discovering something new…

Comedy at EOTR

Anyone you want to see this year? Most names are unfamiliar to me. Last year the queues for the likes of Stewart Lee/Bridget Christie were insane…so only got to see a late night show compered by Andy Zaltsman and featuring a load of bladdered comedians

Never really bothered with the comedy, apart from Knightmare Live. I want to go to Adam Buxton’s Bowie thing this year, but music will always take precedence.
