Office canteen is closed for a refit so overpriced cheese sandwich from Pret was the closest (laziest) option. Might walk the extra 100yds get some noodles or summat from Wasabi tomorrow though.

Personally I go for buttered bread but I don’t have a problem with toast and soup.

It’s just not for me but I’m a big enough person to accept different ways of life

Prefer the saturation of untoasted bread. But toast is fine

It was lightly toasted sour dough if that makes a difference.

Sounds delightful

Christmas cake (made by my sister). It’s excellent.

Homemade butternut squash soup left over from last night, will probably follow it up with a peanut butter sandwich

I had a sandwich

toast x2 with some wild boar terrine I got for xmas (from my mum)

was decent - but some soup to go with it would have been perfect

Beans on toast with hendersons relish. No cheese

an extremely mayonnaisey BLT with a pack of salt n vin crisps

Having the potato, leek and spinach soup from the work canteen (which is the same kitchen as the store restaurant) and it’s so delicious. 80p for a bowl of amazing soup omggg. Got a slice of brown bread to dip in it and a cherry miller corner for after but tbh I wish I’d just had 2 bowls of soup (if that weren’t really weird)

Goan chickpea and spinach soup with two extra toppings (coriander, chilli flakes) and a piece of flatbread on the side.
