I’m simply no longer prepared to wait for The Jolly Fryer to be open, so hugely begrudgingly at great cost to the planet, got in my car and drove two miles down the road to Four Seasons Fish Bar oout Tilehurst way. Large chips were more than enough for two people, perhaps they could have been cooked for slightly longer but they did not need it. That Haddock right there has a very decent amount of nice crispy batter on it, and although it was having one last swim when i unwrapped it, it was cooked beautifully firm but flaky but meaty. Peas tasted of peas, which is exactly what i want from peas. If I’m honest I’d have to say I’m very happy eith my dinner. I ate way too much food but don’t even feel slightly bursting, somehow, even though at least another half portion again of chips were eaten as seconds and i also ate half a battered sausage. For me, that was a very strong 8.6 B.N.F&C
