Fish and a cheesy chip cob from the local. Added lemon and also had tartare sauce.

6/10. Solid.

Fish looks good. Fully on board with the unorthodox chip delivery method, could do with a few more on the plate though. Drink choice elevates it to a 7.

Oh there were a few chips left over on the paper to the left if that swings it

Thanks

Let’s just say the flower pots have triggered my anti-naff plating technique nerve.

Hope it tasted okay, innit.

Coke is my favourite drink to have with F&Cs
I’m also a big fan of the napkin technique (if no absorbent coasters are provided of course)
The chips don’t look too greasy
The batter looks crisp
Plate seems informative
Is that mushy peas?
Cutlery looks nice and clean
What are those two grey things on top of the fish?
Nice bit of flakey salt
The lemon is blow-torched. That was probably really good fun for the chef.
Hope it’s tasty

That’s a very thorough critique

Chips were a bit too ‘fluffy’
Minted peas were great
Grey things were Rosemary I think

Overall it was a 6/10
