Really craving some orange chips the last couple of days.

Google seems to reckon its a Black Country thing - basically chips that are battered (already a winner) in some sort of spice mix that gives them a bit of a radioactive glow and they’re damn good.

Reckon we need a chip shop that combines all the glorious regional specialities into one menu. Deep fried pizza with orange chips please!

Popped down to see me mam and shared a large fish and large chips from the local chippy. 5 quid for two portions the size of that. Solid 6-6.5 quality wise but got to bump it up to 7.5 considering the price

So a great thing happened this afternoon. Was in Margate (where the fun happens), ordered a large fish and chips (standard).

'really sorry, we don’t have any large left, we’ll fry you three small fish for the same price ".

Net result, a significantly larger amount of fish than I was anticipating, each" small "was pretty sizeable.

Decent portion, that. Chips look good, especially the three right at the bottom. Nice tartare distribution. Extra marks for the bonus fish. 9.3
