When you get to the end and are surprised but really not surprised to find a few big fat tears on your cheek.

This album is staggeringly good. That’s all I have to say at this point.

9.4 on Pitchfork

gonna be aoty innit

I really wish she used her middle register more

Fallen Alien sounds a lot like a LAW HOLT track (and a brilliant one)

I think I love this

Done 3 listens now. I love it. MM & Fallen Alien are my faves at the moment.

I think I’m in love with moments in songs rather than full songs necessarily at the minute. There are some absolutely transcendent moments though. I’ve not listened to any of the pre-album “singles” or whatever so that vocal-range mountaineering on Cellophane is new to me and it’s absolutely staggering.

It hasn’t got any less impactful after Quite A Few listens to these ears

Can definitely do without that Future feature for what it’s worth though

I’ve been desperate to hear the studio version of Mary Magdalene since I saw her do it at Primavera. Honestly it’s even better than I thought it would be.

Just listened through if every single point dropped if it is for the Future feature and the general meh of holy terrain I’ll allow it.

Skillrex & Jack Antonoff should not have been allowed near this album.

Yeah, it takes a pretty decent song and turns it into something that would sound more at home on a Tinashe record. (I like Tinashe, but she’s not twigs…)

I am, however, in love with the PC Music vocal melody on sad day.
And I’m in love with every damn second of the title track.
And I’m in love with the slow-motion waltz thing on mirrored heart.
And I’m in love with the aforementioned vocal gymnastics of cellophane.
And tbh I think I’m still not over that Primavera performance.

Fucking stunning album.
