Hummus is utterly unremarkable isn’t it? Like rice or a beige cardigan.
It’s fine and I’ll happily eat it, but I don’t understand anyone getting evangelical about it.

Guys, I often make my own hummus.

I’m a better person than all of you.

was thinking about making my own soy sauce.

Sounds dreadful.

Who’s in?

My bf proudly presented me with a bowl of home made houmous.
He knows I don’t really like houmous.
He made me eat the houmous.
It was insanely dry.

Spend a load of money and time making an inferior version of something I can buy of the shelf?

Right up my street.

In.

Guys I’ve been using this
It’s like houmous but without the chickpeas
It’s a great spread!

Can’t believe there are people in here saying they don’t like houmus or it shouldn’t be in sandwiches. Literally the worst opinion in the history of DiS. Also I can’t spell houmous.

Broad bean, asparagus and mint ftw.

You really MUST try my home-made peanut butter.

Oooh, I’ll spread some on my home-made cream crackers, using a knife I whittled myself.

need a hummus thread for normal people who think hummus is just alright or an inexpensive means of getting food -> mouth

Hummus is good in a sandwich ONLY if the bread is toasted.

Best flavour of hummus is beetroot hummus.
