Isn’t his brother into all that stuff too or am I getting confused?

Don’t know - his brother’s into climate change denial in a big way but not sure about anything else.

I’m sorry that you experienced this

Of the illnesses, I’d say flu is one of my favourites. Turns into a bit of trip, maaaaaaaaan

Ah that’s it, knew there was some big weird anti-science thing going on.

Will it stop me getting a common cold? or just flu?

It should stop you getting this year’s flu. It won’t do anything for colds.

I will be getting one as had one last year and didn’t get the flu. Is it too early to get one now?

I’ve never had flu. Why would I get flu now?

I’ve never been hit by a bus, sometimes shit happens.

I get mine for free through work. I get it every year, not least because my darling partner is immunocompromised and I’m not a cunt.

Well, not that kind of cunt, anyway.

I had a mild flu last year. I think it was because my defences were down following my broken arm incident.

Clive has the jab for free because he has Type 1 Diabetes. He’s never had flu. Nor any side effects that I can attribute to it.

One time years ago I went to my GP about something and he said, While you’re here shall I give you a flu jab? So I figured why not? Like all previous years and every year since (until last year - which was extraordinary circumstances) I didn’t get flu. But that particular year I didn’t get a cold either. Which is highly unusual.

JFC every year we have this thread and every year people spout absolute rubbish and every year I get upset and try to explain things. Not this year, just get the vaccine and don’t be dickheads guys.

Yes, this is what made me start taking my work up on the offer.

That said it doesn’t stop you necessarily getting sick, those wily viruses.

I think you are in the healthy part of your life where there’s not much worry if you do get the flu. Once you get ancient like me you start reconsidering and also I have asthma so I think it’s probably wise.

Actually Googling this I can’t find anything about it.

He should have it but I don’t think there’s much significant in him not having it compared any of loads of us don’t bother.

I work in the health sector. I tend not to get one and tend to depend on herd immunity to lessen my chances of getting flu.

I saw a good piece on Newsnight about immunisations and vaccinations a few weeks ago. Realised I’ve been stupid. I’ll get one this year.
