I have been! I did think there were some similarities, but I was there for a film festival so didn’t really experience that much of the actual city life. Don’t think that ice hockey is a huge deal here but to make up for it everyone is fucking mental about (professional) skiing. You should give Oslo a try sometime!

CUT MY HAIR INTO PIECES
THIS IS MY KNIFE AND FORK

Where I spent the first 8 years of my life: over twenty years ago.
Where I then spent the next ten years of my life, and where my parents still live: just over a year ago (when I went there over Christmas)

Born: Torshavn - last visited when I was six months old, so not recently.

Grew up: Sevenoaks - last visited, about six years ago so I could show the thinly veiled where my childhood home was (it’s actually been demolished and built on)…

I still live there, because I’ve colossally failed to make the transition into adulthood

It may surprise you to learn that the village I alluded to upthread is the most haunted place in Britain and I have seen and encountered all of the ghosts and spirits in this article:

Check your single hometown privilege.

Ok, I will post in your thread now

I’m very relieved indeed we can move past this, thanks for your magnanimity

my parents have lived in the same house since before I was born so I go back there fairly regularly. plus it’s only just outside London so it’s not exactly a trek.

not to say I enjoy going back there or anything.

Bad man does indeed return

How was your trip to Reykjavik, btw? Did you get to see any of the Airwaves stuff?

Exactly three months ago. Is five and a half thousand km away though.

This is an extremely boring way to make such a strange boast.

Boast ? How do you perceive this as a boast?

The place I grew up in? I go back monthly pretty much.

The place I was born in and lived for the first 18 months? Go back annually on average to lay flowers on a gravestone.

about three weeks. family still stay there isn’t it.

I cannot recall properly visiting since my parents lived there in 2007, but I must have visited since then as my grandparents live there.

I did cycle through there on May 1 2016 along with @japes and @rich-t and I have “gone” there to catch various boats and that back over to Southampton.

the whole island counts as a hometown

3/4th December. Stayed over night after seeing Low in Brighton.

Pretty sure @plasticniki cycled past earlier in the year, as has walks001
